Irish Dancing

Ever since we started in Kilbrittain N.S. we have been learning Irish Dancing with Mrs O'Driscoll our Irish Dancing teacher. However, in 2006 Mrs O'Driscoll retired. We were very sad to see her go. Thankfully we got a great new teacher instead, Anne-Marie O'Brien. She taught us all sorts of dances, including the Siege of Ennis, The two and three hand reels, Shoe the Donkey, the Military Two Step and many more.

Both Anne- Marie and Mrs O'Driscoll have worked very hard to bring us to the stage of Irish Dancing we are at. Even when we leave primary school we will find the dancing useful at céilís and at other events.

Hip Hop

recently Kilbrittain N.S. has begun hip-hop with Anne-Marie O'Brien. Hip-Hop with her is very energetic and fun. At the start of the class we do a warm-up to enable us to do the faster moves later without getting out of breath. She helps us through all the quick moves and she also gets us to group up into twos so she can look at us individually and see how much progress we have made.

Anne-Marie has been great fun as she does Irish Dancing and Drama as well. This year's sixth class feel priviliged to have been taught by her and we will miss her greatly when we move on to secondary school.
