Kilbrittain National School

We started our swimming lessons after the Christmas holidays. We went each Tuesday and enjoyed working with Lucy Desmond, who was our instructor. The pool is in the Grove Leisure Centre in Bandon and we travelled by bus with our teacher Mr Deasy.Everybody in our school from 2nd to 6th class is given a chance to swim. Each group goes for 6 or 7 lessons. The school children start in September and finish in April. When we started swimming in 2nd class some were frightened but now this year we love jumping into the pool and splashing around.
